Embedding YouTube videos into WordPress sites

It’s possible to embed YouTube videos into WordPress sites so that, instead of a mere hyperlink to the video, the video is previewed with a play icon, enabling your audience to play the video directly within your WordPress site. Here’s how.

Copy the video’s embed code from YouTube (this can be found in the “Embed” section of the video’s details on YouTube). Paste this into your WordPress post, select the whole embed code, and click the “Code” button on WordPress. This will add the tags <code> (at the start of the embed code) and </code> (at the end of the embed code).

(Note: In order for YouTube embedding to work, the video owner must have allowed this in the video’s settings on YouTube).
